  3. Your image has the same ‘effect’ as on some of mine! No doubt a symptom of not-so great film developing (downtown TO Shopper’s, I’m looking at you).

Initially, I thought my images were gross because I’d shot them through an airplane window:

See the splotchy-ness over the clouds, top right?

But then I’d realized that same effect came up on other shots processed during the same time from the same location and they hadn’t been taken through a window. Also, my experience with film developing tells me that it appears the bubbles from the chemicals must have sat on the surface of the film and settled, instead of having been properly agitated for clean development. But they totally used a machine to do this so I’m stumped how this has happened… Gah.

  4. I post-processed in Photoshop but I’m a bit surprised you can still see the splotchiness. I’ve noticed it on a lot of my other pictures too, but I thought it was a result of my film being expired, not the processing. :| Now, I know… hmm. I have like four rolls of film in my fridge that need to be processed, but I thought I might wait until going to Canada (whenever that is!) to do so, as it’ll cost me at least £5 to get it done here. Knowing about the bubbles now, I’m a little hesitant to have it done at Yonge and King again.

I really like your image though, despite the splotchiness. It kinda blends in :)
