photograph not taken

A white-haired older woman sipping coffee by herself in McDonald’s, rather forlorn, her walker beside her. She was sitting at the window, facing the street. I had two cameras in my bag and could easily have whipped one of them out to take a picture of her, but my street photographer balls have disappeared. Also, I was in a hurry to catch the bus. Not really an excuse, but I’ll use it.

  1. The imagery you’ve expressed of her suffices, although, you do take nice photos.

  2. Thanks :) I’m just wondering what’s in your userpic? It looks quite interesting.

  3. Oh thanks. It’s of a drawing that I did while at school. You can see it better at my website.

  5. It’s kind of a long story… It’s a sort of map. It mapped the outlines and trajectories of a drawing made by a machine that I constructed. The machine used wind power to do the drawing. The whole point of the exercise was to find ways to disconnect or disassociate the ‘artist’ from the ‘art’. This drawing is a product of that condition. Yea, one of those hyper-theorical studios I took back at Pratt Institute toward getting a bachelors in architecture. I’m glad you like it.
